We are only nearly at the end of January and I already have a pile of colourful artworks wanting a home. I love that my little girl loves to craft. Crafting is her thing. The best thing! And, of course, with crafting comes the creations. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t keep every single piece of craft, drawing or sticker creation. But I do want to always display the ones that she is most proud of.
Truth be told, I don’t have much space in our house. Many of our walls are already covered with other artworks of framed pictures. But there is always space.
So where do I display them? Anywhere. There is something probably in every room of the house. Now I know, this is probably not everyone’s cup of tea. But my house is always colourful (often with toys too) with an arty display of colour.
Everything, however, does keep on changing. I give her the autonomy and choice to display what she wants for how long. Each piece usually lasts a couple of weeks before she is willing for another one to take its place. And for those pieces which I think are extra special, I take photos. By the end of the year, I have a collection of arty photos that I can use for a photo book. A treasure, a display, a memento of her work and creativity.
How do you display your children’s artwork?
