Family Life

losing those extra kilos

lose baby weight

Let’s face it, let’s be honest, we all have those extra few kilos that have built up over the years from a combination of children, motherhood, parenting and just simply not having time for yourself. I’ve had them. I still have them.

My body is scarred from the two babies I have carried. I have a very distinct scar that reminds me everyday that I birthed my son via caesarean. Everyday. I have wobbly bits, big bits, flabby bits, and marks that will never disappear. My body was changed forever in an instant. And I could not be happier.

But my body is my body. My health is another. Losing weight is not the only goal. In actual fact, it is a bonus. But what if there was a way to start having a healthier lifestyle, clean fresh eating, meal planners AND lose weight at the same time? Anything that takes complicated out of the menu and puts simplicity in, is a winner in my book. Taking care of yourself, eating well, eating clean and starting to put a little bit of ‘me’ time back into your life is something I have always encouraged.

In all honesty, if I don’t have those moments of kid-free exercise zones, I go a little batty. No mum should be judged or slammed for taking care of herself, taking time out and dedicated time to be healthy, feel healthy and gain strength to do one of the toughest jobs on earth. Being a Healthy Mummy is not just about being a healthy mummy, but being a healthier women, wife, partner, mother and everything else in between.

So, what if there was a way you could do everything from home? The Healthy Mummy 28 Weight Loss Challenge is on. You will get meal plans, family friendly recipes, shopping lists, an incredible support group and convent exercises.

I can tell you know, from my own personal experience, when you dedicate just a little bit of something to yourself, and only yourself, this sense of refreshment, fulfilment, achievement and so so much more is created within. This is something to be praised, not judged or even worse, feel guilty for.

Now is the time for you.We have joined forces with The Healthy Mummy to give three lucky followers the chance to join September’s The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge for free! Valued at $49.95 per challenge, all you have to do is tell me below

My greatest challenge which I can’t seem to break is always worrying about what my son is eating, preparing him nice meals, making sure he has breakfast and trying to do EVERYTHING else only to forget about myself and in the end I eat crap on the run (or sometimes to eat at all!) My health has plummeted.

My biggest challenge would have to be ‘getting it all together.’ I mean, if I have a tidy house, I have a whiny threenager.. if I have time for myself, If I don’t have time for friends, I haven’t remembered to buy bread, I haven’t matched socks… I feel guilty.. there’s always something. Don’t even get me started on self care.

I’m not sure anyone really ‘has it all together’ anyway.
