The inspirational jar

inspirational jar

For those that follow me on Facebook, you would have seen me post a picture of a jar filled with ‘gratitude thoughts’. And I had to show it there because when I saw it on Pinterest, I knew it was something quite inspirational. And that is just why I had to share it. And then when I saw Chantelle from Fat Mum Slim post her “feel good jar”… well…the signs were just telling me that I had to put my own jar together.

And that is just what I did.

Luckily I had a simple jar in my pantry, waiting to be used. So simple, I picked it up from the supermarket on one of my shopping trips. And any jar would do, big small, clear, coloured… whatever you find.

And because my husband was telling me a quote of the great Dame Elizabeth Murdoch on the weekend, well… this was just another sign for me to write it down and put it in the jar.

And that is just what I did.

And I’ll probably add a few more quotes that have inspired me lately, or a fabulous little moment that my Little girl did – like when she told me “please mummy” after I forgot to say please when I  asked her to do something.

And when I have those rough days, tough and challenging days I may just go to my Inspirational jar and pull something out to inspire me, and to make me smile. And like Chantelle said,

“I probably wouldn’t wait for the end of the year to peek through, I’d fumble through when the not-so-happy days hit. Cause they do. And they will.”

How do you get through those days that just never seem to end? Do you just keep riding the wave? Or change it someway?
