11 inspirational quotes to get you playing

importance of play

Playing is not only fun. It is educational. It is motivational. It is inspiring. The importance of play happens from the moment a child is born and continues right into that person’s life. Communication, Eye contact, words and interaction is play happening at it’s very best.

Sometimes I often find it hard to find the energy to play. I know this ok. We are  not meant to be the super bunny all the time (or any of the time really). But remember play can be as simple as stacking and sorting kitchen mixing bowls while you are preparing dinner.

I hope you find these quotes just as inspiring as I did. With spring time coming, I know our playing time will be happening more outdoors.

1. “When we come together to play and be we are truly ourselves When we are truly ourselves it is wonderful and when we act collectively in that wonder we do transformative work for our community and our world.” – Brad Colby

2. “When children pretend, they’re using their imaginations to move beyond the bounds of reality. A stick can be a magic wand. A sock can be a puppet. A small child can be a superhero.” – Fred Rogers

Don’t stop playing!
