Saturday was a rainy rainy day for us! So rainy, it was one of those days where crawling up in bed was the besets idea! Shame that a 22-month-old really won’t let you do that.
But it was a such a relaxing day! Chilling out, relaxing and having fun at home.
But we certainly could have got really stuck! So I have thought of 21 things you can do when it rains rains and the rain keeps on coming:
1. Put on the gumboots and the rain coat and go splash splashing!
2. What fancy train track can the munchkins put together?
3. Crafty ideas at home, anything from play doe, painting and collage making
4. Impromptu play date with friends or family
5. Make some pancakes
6. Or some muffins, or anything baking really
7. Make your own bowling set and play indoor bowls – some great How To tips here
8. Take a walk to your local creek and see what you can find
9. Make a cubby house over your kitchen table
10. Pulled out the board games lately?
11. Get the kids to sort and organise your plastic draw
12. Play dress ups
13. Tea party for everyone
14. Make some birthday cards or festive season cards
15. Take a trip to the museum
16. Or check out the kids activities at the art gallery
17. Ride a tram like a tourist (for those Melbournians)
18. Or a train
19. Wash some windows
20. Play hide and seek
21. Plant some veggie seedlings
What are your favourite rainy day activities?
