The latest edition of 3008docklands Magazine features my very big chocolate weakness. For the majority of this pregnancy, chocolate has been the weakness! The biggest weakness ever! We all have a weakness…. what is yours?

For weeks now the Chocolate Easter Eggs have been staring right back at me from the supermarket shelves. They have this funny way of just popping out at you, everywhere, anywhere. And they seem to be in the stores so much sooner these days. But I have to admit… I gave into my craving for Cadbury Cream Eggs. Ordinarily I would be totally grossed out by these, but for some reason after weeks of saying no I gave in.
It was a total anti climax!! I was expecting soooo much more! It was such a
letdown with an extra few calories on me as well. It is that feeling of knowing
you just ate something really bad for you and it was not even enjoyable.
Is it our subconscious punishing us? Is it our mind ticking over and telling
our pleasure hormones and taste buds not to enjoy it? I so remember enjoying that Cadbury Cream Egg last Easter.
So my pledge for this Easter season is to say no to temptations! I will continue to walk past the Easter Eggs and only buy what I need. If I feel the need to give in, I will buy the little mini Cadbury one’s as they are just the right size to cure the chocolate craving. And I know I will enjoy them! Who can go wrong with a simple milk chocolate egg?
Yep, my chocolate addiction is hard to control. There is just something about
chocolate and it’s something I cannot say no to. There is even something
more enticing about Easter Eggs. It must be the pretty foils and wrappers
and perhaps childhood memories of those Easter Egg hunts.
We all have a little weakness.
