It’s been a steady, and rather slow progression from the big Mega Blocks to the Duplo lego. One minute the little guy was totally not interested in the big blocks, and then suddenly, literally… just like that, he developed an interest for the Duplo. He kind of missed the whole first-stage thing.

But, without a doubt, there is certainly a new love for Lego. There is even a specific tone to “lego” when he says it. And, finding games and toys where they both can play and interact with is an even bigger bonus. They kind of just sit.

And play together.

The tantrums and arguments still continue, along with the constant demolish and pinching of each others Lego, but dare I say it, the interaction is kind of becoming a little more harmonious… in a round about way.

We are enjoying Lego!

All of us.

Is there a love of lego in your house?

Lego is brilliant! My boys all love it too. It is such a simple entertainment and I love how they play together. Just wait till the transition to small lego from duplo! That small stuff gets everywhere.

I always felt deprived as a child, never had any Lego … until my brother got some … and he is 9 years younger than me! My kids had – and loved – Lego. It really is one of the best toys I think, for keeping the kids amused AND developing their imagination, fine motor skills, and so much more. Even if it does kill when we tread on it!

Lior is loving Duplo at the moment too. And I love that it’s a toy that keeps growing with them the older they get! Every few weeks he seems to gain some new skills and is making new and different things he couldn’t comprehend before. It’s such a great toy. :)

Yes we love lego! Especially in the holidays when the kids get together and build creations that they have time to expand and expand on. I kind of love lego too :)

lego is awesome…except when you stand on it. Master 3 had the Mega blocks and then stopped and went straight to normal lego. We found it really helped his fine motor skills and will sit happily for hours building towers and ummm what I think are animals?
