Happy Mother’s Day Mum/Mumma/Shooshi and everything else that you are. I have learnt many things from you over the years. Many. Some are more memorable then others, and some are more poignant, but all in all, I would not be where I am today if it were not for you. So here is what I have learnt from you. Here are just a few…
- Never leave things to the last minute. ‘Last minute Lucy’ is not a good person to be and will never get you too far. To plan and think ahead is always a much better place to be in.
- Always take responsibility for yourself and your actions. If you don’t achieve what you set out, or if you make a mistake, that is okay. Just take responsibility.
- Cooking is not hard. Everyone should be able to cook something half decent.
- Don’t worry about every little measurement when you do cook. Just enjoy. Just taste. And hope it works out all right.
- Go with the flow. Because when you go with the flow you live in the moment, you don’t expect too much, and you appreciate what is around you.
- What comes around goes around. I think my mum relishes in the fact that my three year old puts on some feisty tantrums. She tells me it is payback for all those tantrums I gave her.
- Gluten is not good for you. Gluten free is the newest bestest thing!
- Work hard. But do it because you want to.
Thanks Mumma for being the best Mumma.
I’m curious, what has your mum taught you? Share her wisdom with me, I would love to know
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful and fabulous mum’s out there xo
