Family Life

The best of 2014

life with two

It’s that time of year again where I reflect on my achievements, challenges, highs and lows. As the year comes to an end, it is a celebration to be had.

I have learnt over the years that some of my best heartaches and challenges are in fact the very thing that inspires me to become stronger and wiser. With every year I like to ask myself two questions: 1. What did I love most about the year. and 2. What was the most challenged part of the year.

Through each years discussion with my husband we take the opportunity to explore, grow and expand ourselves for the next year; for ourselves and together as business partners.

It is refreshing. It is enlightening. It is inspiring.

But here today I thought I would reflect on some of my favourite articles from 2104. And they are:

One: I am simplifying :: Got clutter? Maybe it is time to simplify. I often go through moments in my life where I need to declutter, either ‘stuff’ or my mind. I think I am doing it again lately…

Two: Sixteen easy dinner meals :: Need an easy dinner meal over the holiday season? I have it sorted with this list of tasty meals.

Three: Oreo Cheesecake Bars :: This comes from the fabulous Lucy at Bake Play Smile. Let me tell you, it is tasty! So yum!

Four: Teaching your kids to be still :: Because sometimes we just need down days!

Five: Dear two year old you :: That moment when my baby turning into a little man and became two! Oh My! I think writing a letter to my munchkins will become a yearly tradition

Six: Learning to let go :: Let’s just say, it is a work in progress! But I still reflect on this list regularly.

Seven: Sugar Free LCM Bars :: Another fabulous lunchbox recipe and super easy snack!

So there you have it, my 2014 The Parenting Files round up.

What is it about 2014 you are reflecting on?
